MBLAQ’s Thunder apologizes for messing up Wonder Girls’ “Be My Baby” dance

MBLAQ‘s Thunder apologized to the audience for messing up the dance to the Wonder Girls‘ hit song, “Be My Baby“.

On the March 4th broadcast of SBS TV’s ‘1000 Song Challenge,’ rhythmic gymnast Shin Soo Ji paired up with model/actress Lee Sun Jin to sing the Wonder Girls’ “Be My Baby”.

After the two ladies finished the song, MC Lee Hwi Jae suddenly said, “Hold on a second. I saw something,” and pulled MBLAQ’s Thunder on stage.  Lee Hwi Jae then said that Thunder’s dance looked weird, and asked him to do it again. Thunder obliged, and danced to “Be My Baby” with a confused look on his face.

What happened was that Thunder messed up the part where the girls make a round shape with their hands and sweep it across the side of their bodies, near their hips. Instead of sweeping his hands in a circular motion to the side of his body, Thunder gathered his hands in front of his body. When the guests started laughing, Thunder looked even more confused as he asked, “Isn’t this how the dance goes?”

When all the guests commented that his version of the dance was weird, Thunder eventually apologized to the audience for messing up the dance. MC Lee Hwi Jae wrapped up the situation by defending him, saying, “Just because he’s and idol doesn’t mean he’s good at all dances“.
